One of the most brilliant things “The Daily Show” has ever done…
From Crooks and Liars, about eight months ago:
In perhaps the most brilliant segment on “The Daily Show” I’ve ever seen, last night Jon ran through the last three decades of United States intervention in the Middle East to show how incoherent, ass-backwards and counter-productive it has been.
it really is amazing…i just adore Jon Stewart. perhaps this is why a recent study (i’ll find the link or you can go Google it for yourself) shows that, based on where they get their media, the most informed Americans are those who regularly watch The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, and/or read a major newspaper daily. at the bottom where they belong are regular viewers of Fox News and those who get their news from The Today Show and its ilk.

There is only one way to view what presidential candidates say about anything – with much humor!! I love Jon Stewart and his humorous cynicism, and with no dog in any race I love seeing everyone lampooned!!
The only politician that can be trusted was Rutherford B. Hayes!!

you can find that video if you search “daily show – america to the rescue.”
while you’re at it, search “daily show – is america ready for a FLILF?”
both great segments, dearly loved

I love Colbert… he is a little bit of sunshine in my day. (and you, of course.)
