Question re: Hurricane Gustav, John McHurri-cain, and the Republican Convention

With all of John McCain’s faux-gravitas and sincerity (grandstanding) in changing the Republican Convention plans in order to exploit Hurricane Gustav for political gain, it occurs to me to ask — What happens if the storm turns? Seriously. Beyond being a wonderful turn of events for New Orleanians, will John McCain pop the cork and say “well now that that’s over!” and run back up to St. Paul?

Just curious. Because this seems like major overkill for a storm that hasn’t yet hit.
