Wingnuts who are caricatures of themselves

They write our jokes for us, by god. From the comments on another post:

“Your comments on Barack’s and Michelle’s education paints them as snobs. Great work, you did our job for us. Congratulations, you’re an idiot.”

I had mentioned that they went to Ivy League schools, in response to the commenter trying to use his degrees to add some sort of credibility to his case. The point was “oh okay, well, if you want to go for that angle, then my candidate and his wife were Ivy League graduates — who excelled, unlike the current President — and your candidate was fifth from the bottom of his class.”

But in Lower Wingnuttia, where the commenter lives, GOOD EDUCATION is the mark of a snob. I did their job for them by pointing out that Barack and Michelle Obama are insightful, highly intelligent people. And in Lower Wingnuttia, intelligence is a curse. How DARE that black couple be smarter than the average bear? They must be radicals!

In the same comment, he uses this link to illustrate that left-wingers use weapons against those who don’t agree with them. The problem? The article is about the illegal and politically motivated raids and arrests in St. Paul, which are trampling on the free speech rights of ALL Americans. Unfortunately that article doesn’t tell quite the whole story. For that, Glenn Greenwald is, as usual, doing his job. This is about constitutional freedoms.

However, the true violence these days has been coming from disgruntled right-wing terrorists. This is against the Constitution of the United States, as is most of the rhetoric from the wingnut commenter’s favorite token minority pundit, Michelle Merkin.
